In 2025, Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries hosted three extraordinary Bridal Gown Events that brought joy, affordability, and opportunity to brides across Central Illinois. Held at our Dirksen and Chatham Stores in the Springfield area in March & April, and later at our Champaign Store in June, these special events welcomed future brides in search of the perfect gown for their big day.
Springfield Celebrations: Dirksen & Chatham
The Bridal Gown Events at our Springfield-area locations—Dirksen and Chatham—set the tone for a season of celebration. With racks filled with elegant gowns in a wide range of styles and sizes, brides-to-be experienced the excitement of boutique-style shopping at a fraction of traditional retail prices.
Many of the gowns were brand new, made possible through generous community donations, allowing brides to say “yes” to the dress without financial stress. In addition to bridal gowns, shoppers found beautiful options for flower girls, mothers of the bride, and a select assortment of bridesmaid dresses. Accessories, including veils, tiaras, and jewelry, helped complete each bride’s vision.
The atmosphere at both Springfield events was filled with laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt moments as brides shared the experience with family and friends. These events not only provided affordability but also dignity and celebration during one of life’s most meaningful milestones.
A Weekend of Bridal Bliss in Champaign
Following the overwhelming success in Springfield, the excitement continued in Champaign. In June, our Champaign Store welcomed brides from across the region for a two-day Bridal Gown Show featuring more than 200 stunning gowns. Additional seating created a comfortable, boutique-style atmosphere where brides could browse, try on gowns, and celebrate their special moment with loved ones.
