Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, Inc. Opens New Goodwill Outlet in Champaign

New Champaign Outlet Offers an Entirely Different Resale Experience—with Merchandise Sold by the Pound

Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries opened a new Goodwill Outlet Store in Champaign on September 29, 2026, with a Chamber Ribbon-Cutting ceremony scheduled for October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at 912 W Anthony Dr. The location is the third Outlet store in all of Illinois—two of which are owned and operated by Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, the other LLGI Outlet is located at 225 Capitol Way in Jacksonville.

Unlike a traditional Goodwill Store, where merchandise is individually priced and displayed on racks and shelves, Outlet merchandise is presented in large, shallow rolling bins and sold primarily by the pound.

All merchandise will be offered at prices well below market value. Most goods will be priced at just $1.89 per pound—glassware, ceramics, and china at 19 cents per pound. Select merchandise, such as bicycles, vacuum cleaners, and other larger items, will be priced individually. All proceeds from sales at the Outlet will support our mission programs.

The Outlet model advances our key sustainability goals by redirecting functional items that didn’t sell as retail, away from landfills and back into active use. Through systematic recovery, sorting, and steep discounting, the Outlet extends product lifecycles, curbs waste, and saves the raw manufacturing resources that would otherwise be required for new goods. This operational approach offers residents a practical path to sustainable shopping.

Our Champaign location allows customers to shop in a traditional Goodwill Retail Store as well as look for bargains sold by the pound at the Outlet—all at the same 912 Anthony Dr. location!

As with our Jacksonville Outlet location, we welcome customers 16 and older, and ask that they observe our safety guidelines by wearing full-coverage footwear. Champaign Outlet hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm.
