Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, Inc. in Chatham Moves into New Space.
Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries (LLGI) is excited to announce that Thursday, November 9th at 8:30am, we will have our official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chatham Chamber of Commerce.
Following the ribbon cutting, we will open our doors at 9am for the official Grand Opening of our newest store in Chatham, Illinois. The new location at 135 Independence Blvd. is just around the corner from the previous Goodwill Chatham location. This move represents a significant milestone in the organization’s commitment to serving communities and supporting employment opportunities for individuals in need.
Optimizing Space and Expanding Opportunities:
The new Chatham store’s layout maximizes space utilization while ultimately improving the shopping experience. The 17,000 square-foot building is designed with an open modern space in both the front of the store and the backroom. This will allow us to increase efficiency by reducing processing time and movement of our merchandise from the donation door to the sales floor, and provide an inviting ambiance for shoppers, donors, and employees. The new store is designed to provide a safer environment by providing all of the departments with better accessibility and visibility.

Expanding our Mission
The Mission of Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries (LLGI) is to provide people with the skills and resources to become self-sufficient through the power of work. LLGI employs over 300 individuals many of whom have barriers to employment, such as lack of training and education; disability; or a criminal background. This new Chatham store and donation center will provide employment opportunities for over 30 people in the local community.
Also, the new facility will allow for the expansion of our Adult Services Day Program into the Chatham community. The LLGI Adult Services Day Program prepares adults 18 years of age or older who have an Intellectual Disability to live and function in integrated social settings. Community Day Services serve adults with Intellectual Disabilities and major functional skill deficits to promote independence in daily living and economic self-sufficiency. “The Chatham community has been very supportive of Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries.
