Coronavirus Covid-19 Response Plan

March 14, 2020

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Illinois, Land of Lincoln Goodwill is taking proactive measures to help slow the spread of the virus in our communities. We have implemented additional policies and protocols within our organization following guidance from the CDC, Illinois Department of Public Health and local county health departments. Nothing is more important to us than safeguarding the health and safety of our customers, employees, and those we serve in our mission programs.

While the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have instituted an organization-wide Response Plan, increased the frequency of our sanitizing protocols, including all public and back office surfaces and restrooms. We are providing hand sanitizer measures in all of our stores. We have trained and will continue to train our employees to be vigilant for the symptoms associated with COVID-19 and what appropriate actions should be taken. Further, we have suspended all unnecessary travel by our employees and leadership as well as many other thoughtful measures.

At this time our retail stores and donation centers remain open. Our Adult Services mission day program has been suspended temporarily, but our Youth Services and Career Centers continue to operate as they had. Still, we are prepared to adjust these programs as needed and if so dictated by public health organizations.

We will continue to prepare and enact policies that safeguard our communities, employees, and customers and will continually monitor the situation. We will attempt to keep you updated on our progress as well as any changes to our operations in the future.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ron Culves
Interim President & CEO
