Supported Employment

Service participants receive assistance in finding a job in the community. Once individuals are employed, Goodwill provides on-site job coaching support for as long as necessary to help ensure that the employer is satisfied with the work being done, and that the employee is happy with their job and is able to perform their job duties.

Developmental Training

Service participants come to one of Goodwill's Developmental Training Program sites where they have the opportunity to work and earn a paycheck. They may also participate in classes designed to help them be as independent as possible, and prepare for possible community employment. Eligibility for the Developmental Training Program is determined by the Central Illinois Service Access Program. Service participants must have a developmental disability and be eligible for the Medicaid Program.

Contract Services

Goodwill performs work on a contractual basis for area businesses. in most cases the work is brought to the Goodwill facility and is completed on site. Examples of work performed include collating, light assembly, packaging, shrink wrapping, sorting and organizing or other work involving simple repetitive tasks.

Janitorial Services

Service participants work as part of mobile work crews, providing custodial and janitorial services in various locations throughout the community. Each crew is supervised by a Goodwill employee. Each service participant receives pay in accordance with their productivity on the job.

Rest Area Maintenance

Service participants work as part of a team to maintain the rest area just north of Springfield near Sherman. Service participants work full time under the supervision of Goodwill employees.
